Cursor Marketplace plugins expanded significantly on March 13, 2026, as the company added more than 30 new integrations from partners including Atlassian, Datadog, GitLab, Glean, Hugging Face, monday.com, and PlanetScale.
The additions follow the initial launch of the Cursor Marketplace last month. Cursor said the new plugins allow its AI coding agent to read from, write to, and take actions across a broader range of developer tools and services.
What the Cursor Marketplace Plugins Offer
Each plugin bundles Model Context Protocol (MCP) capabilities with usage instructions that guide the artificial intelligence agent. Cursor said users have reported this combination is more effective than using MCPs alone since the marketplace launched.
The new plugins span the full development workflow. Cursor grouped them into two primary categories: infrastructure tools and productivity tools.
Infrastructure Plugins
The Datadog plugin enables developers to query logs, metrics, traces, and dashboards using natural language. Meanwhile, the GitLab plugin allows users to view and manage issues, merge requests, pipelines, and repositories directly from the Cursor environment.
The PlanetScale plugin adds the ability to discover and apply schema recommendations, improve query performance, and interact with data using natural language commands. These tools extend Cursor’s reach into core software development infrastructure.
Productivity Plugins
On the productivity side, the Atlassian plugin lets agents search and manage issues, generate status reports, and convert specifications into backlogs. The Glean plugin enables searching company knowledge bases and identifying project owners and stakeholders.
The monday.com plugin provides access to project boards and task management. Together, these integrations position Cursor agents to handle a wider range of project coordination tasks without manual intervention.
Automations and Team Management
Most plugins include MCPs that cloud agents can use when triggered manually or automatically. Cursor Automations allows developers to build always-on agents that run on schedules or respond to events, using tools such as the Datadog MCP to investigate logs based on configured tasks.
For Teams and Enterprise plan subscribers, administrators can create private team marketplaces to distribute and manage plugins internally. This feature extends the platform’s utility for organizations managing large development teams.
