Riyadh is set to host the world’s largest cybersecurity challenge through the Capture The Flag (CTF) competition as part of the upcoming Black Hat Middle East and Africa 2026 event. The event is organized by Tahaluf in partnership with the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP) and Tuwaiq Academy. Notably, this global gathering will take place from December 1 to 3, 2026, bringing together leading specialists and experts from across the globe.
Details of the Cybersecurity Challenge
The cybersecurity challenge will offer substantial financial rewards, with prizes worth more than SAR 790,000. Furthermore, the competition will host the top 150 teams in-person for the final rounds in Riyadh. These teams will compete in advanced scenarios covering the latest fields in digital defense. Consequently, the event aims to develop practical skills and encourage innovation within the local technology sector.

The organizers designed the competition to support national talent and attract international expertise to the region. Specifically, the collaboration between SAFCSP and Tuwaiq Academy highlights the joint efforts to build a competitive digital environment.
