The Ministry of Interior will organize the Global Security Summit in Riyadh from December 18 to 20, 2026. This event is held under the patronage of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Meanwhile, the ministry is organizing the event in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy to support national security goals.
Objectives of the Global Security Summit
Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif expressed gratitude for the royal patronage of the Global Security Summit. He stated that this support helps develop the security sector. Consequently, the event aims to assist digital transformation across national, regional, and international security sectors.
Specialized Programs and Workshops
Specifically, the event will feature specialized programs, knowledge sessions, and technical workshops. These sessions will cover cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, smart surveillance, and crisis management. Furthermore, the summit will bring together government entities, private companies, and academic institutions.
The SAIIF Innovation Competition
In addition, the agenda includes the SAIIF global security and technology innovation competition. This contest will take place in Riyadh from November 19 to 21, 2026. Notably, the competition offers prizes valued at SAR5 million to participants.
The competition focuses on developing solutions in AI, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. Moreover, it targets digital forensics, technical investigations, and infrastructure protection. As a result, the initiative will help build national capabilities in these technical fields.
Building on Previous Successes
This upcoming event follows the Absher 2025 conference, which achieved three Guinness World Records. That previous conference hosted the largest hackathon in the world. Additionally, it featured more than 60 main sessions with 150 speakers and 80 technical workshops.
The Ministry of Interior aims to establish Riyadh as a global center for security technology through the Global Security Summit. Therefore, this event serves as a platform for international cooperation. The organizers expect the gathering to attract global experts and researchers.
Ultimately, the event will support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 by developing local technical talents. Meanwhile, the partnership with Tuwaiq Academy will provide specialized training programs during the preparatory phase. This collaboration aims to prepare national capabilities for future security challenges.
