Dell Technologies introduced Dell Deskside Agentic AI, a new addition to the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA that allows workgroups to deploy and scale agentic AI workflows locally. The solution targets the cost, latency, and data sovereignty issues of cloud-only approaches. It runs on Dell high-performance workstations and the NVIDIA NemoClaw software stack, handling models from 30 billion to 1 trillion parameters.
As artificial intelligence workflows shift toward agentic architectures, token usage grows rapidly. Cloud costs can become unsustainable despite falling token prices. Dell said cloud-only strategies fall short on economics, security, and data sovereignty at scale. The company claims organizations can break even versus public cloud API costs in as little as three months with Dell Deskside Agentic AI.
A complete solution for deskside agentic AI
Roughly over 50% of agentic workflows run on open-weight models, according to Dell. The solution targets the 30-billion to 284-billion parameter range for bulk reasoning. From coding assistants to private AI assistants for regulated industries, Dell offers a range of workstations paired with the NVIDIA NemoClow reference stack and Dell Services. The company said organizations can reduce spend up to 87% compared to cloud APIs over two years.
Three workstation tiers are available. Dell Pro Max with GB10 supports up to 200 billion parameters. Dell Pro Precision 9 features Intel Xeon 600 processors and up to five NVIDIA RTX PRO Blackwell GPUs, supporting up to 500 billion parameters. Dell Pro Max with GB300 handles up to 1 trillion parameters. The NVIDIA NemoClaw reference stack provides an open-source foundation for managing AI agents on local hardware.
Reliable framework for every workload
Deploying agentic AI in production requires consistent data protection. NVIDIA OpenShell is now supported across the entire Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA, offering a sandboxed environment for building and governing agents. It spans Dell workstations through Dell PowerEdge XE servers on Canonical Ubuntu and Red Hat AI. Support for NVIDIA AI-Q 2.0 blueprint gives organizations a foundation for multi-agent workflows. The Dell-NVIDIA AI-Q 2.0 Reference Architecture, powered by the Dell AI Data Platform, targets regulated industries including financial services, public sector and manufacturing.
