Dyson CameraJet represents the latest consumer health device from Dyson, introducing an optical tracking camera combined with a liquid flossing mechanism. The device was revealed by James Dyson in Paris, presenting a new approach to interdental cleaning and daily oral hygiene routines.
Conventional brushing often fails to reach the tight spaces between teeth where plaque gathers and hardens over time. To solve this problem, the device integrates a 100k pixel macro camera with machine learning algorithms to detect and target interdental gaps in real time within health technology standards.

The optical system operates at 28 frames per second, scanning the mouth surface to predict interdental spaces. Once an interdental gap is identified, the system activates a pressurized burst within 100 milliseconds. This machine learning model was developed using 470,000 dental images and runs on 16 million lines of code within modern artificial intelligence applications.
Furthermore, the device uses an anti-gravity tank equipped with a diaphragm pump. This internal design ensures continuous liquid delivery even when held horizontally or inverted while brushing rear molars.

Fluid Dynamics and Conical Jet System
Unlike traditional needle-style water flossers that produce a single sharp stream, this device uses a conical spray pattern. The wider coverage removes sticky plaque without exerting excessive pressure on sensitive gum tissue or tooth enamel.
In addition, engineers validated the spray profile through a five-year collaborative research project with the National University of Singapore. The 12.5ml reservoir dispenses precise quantities of mouthwash during regular cleaning sessions without requiring separate manual rinsing steps.

Dual Bristles and Sonic Movement
The brush head incorporates two distinct bristle types to maximize cleaning coverage along curved dental surfaces. Firmer inner bristles lift surface discoloration, while softer outer bristles clean along the delicate gumline.
To prevent mechanical stalling against teeth, variable sonic oscillation continuously adjusts the motion angle at up to 1,000 movements per second. Built-in RFID chips track brush head usage and prompt replacement when necessary, while Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity link the hardware to smart devices for live guided cleaning via the MyDyson app.

Dedicated non-foaming toothpaste and antibacterial mouthwash accompany the hardware, formulated to preserve camera visibility during operation. The complete dental system includes the toothbrush, docking station, rapid-refill base, travel case, and specialized oral formulations.
The complete package retails at SAR 1,949 in Saudi Arabia and AED 1,949 in the United Arab Emirates across official demo stores and selected regional retail outlets starting September 2026.
