The FIFA Museum exhibition opened at Rockefeller Center in New York City to celebrate football history. This special event runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026. Notably, the opening ceremony welcomed FIFA President Gianni Infantino alongside other representatives.

Opening of the FIFA Museum exhibition

Visitors can explore nearly a century of football heritage through historical artifacts and jerseys. Furthermore, the exhibition highlights the 27-year partnership between Hyundai Motor Company and FIFA. These displays are located on the ninth floor of Radio Park. Specifically, the collection includes iconic items from the inaugural 1930 tournament to the present day.

“This exhibition represents more than a celebration of that football history. It reflects how football connects and inspires people from one generation to the next.”

Sungwon Jee, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer at Hyundai Motor Company

Interactive Fan Experiences and Displays

Meanwhile, an outdoor interactive football pitch will open in the North Plaza from July 6. Fans can test their football trivia knowledge by shooting a ball at a target. Consequently, successful participants receive a balloon inflated using the Hyundai IONIQ 9 vehicle-to-load technology. This outdoor space also features a cooling system powered by the same vehicle technology.

Robotics Integration by Boston Dynamics

In addition, Boston Dynamics’ robots Spot and Atlas are integrated into the FIFA Museum exhibition. Spot interacts with visitors at Rockefeller Plaza and participates in social media scavenger hunts. Meanwhile, Atlas stands in the lobby holding the official match ball. Visitors can take photos with the static robot as they enter the venue.

Future Outlook and Children’s Art Campaign

Specifically, the event features the “Be There With Hyundai” campaign showcasing children’s drawings. A total of 48 selected artworks will decorate official national team buses during the tournament. These buses will travel across host cities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The collaboration highlights how technology can enhance fan experiences during major sporting events. Moreover, the integration of robotics and electric vehicle features demonstrates new ways to engage audiences. As a result, the event serves as a bridge between sports heritage and modern technological developments.

Ultimately, the FIFA Museum exhibition aims to connect global communities through sport and technology. The free exhibition remains open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Visitors can access the event until its conclusion on July 19, 2026.
