The National Fire Protection Association will lead the second day of the conference under a dedicated safety theme. Consequently, international and regional experts will explore how globally recognized standards can support Saudi Arabia’s development goals. This partnership aims to strengthen fire resilience through professional development and knowledge sharing.
Integration of Risk-Based Safety Systems
Sutharson Sathaiah, HSE Director at Qiddiya City, stated that the rapid transformation in the region is reshaping safety roles. Specifically, he noted that developments are becoming larger and more complex. Therefore, fire safety must be integrated with security, crowd management, and operational risk management.
Sathaiah also explained that successful organizations must combine advanced technologies with capable people and strong emergency planning. Meanwhile, the conference program will combine these strategic discussions with practical examples from organizations responsible for protecting complex environments. This includes safety implementations across various giga-projects and critical infrastructure.
Artificial Intelligence and Emergency Response
Abdulrahman M. Al-Qahtani, Fire Chief at Saudi Railway Company, will outline approaches to commanding major incidents during critical initial hours. In addition, Faris Alzahrani from the Ministry of Education and Yousif Mohamed from King Fahd International Airport will examine the role of artificial intelligence in fire safety. They will discuss how intelligent systems can improve decision-making while maintaining human oversight.
The Fire Protection Summit will also feature speakers from international organizations, including Heathrow Airport and the National Fire Chiefs Council. These experts will share practical insights on managing hazards in complex environments.

Riham Sedik, Exhibition Director of Intersec Saudi Arabia, said that the event helps organizations move toward integrated approaches to life safety.
