According to research from Omdia, Genetec recorded a 20% growth rate compared to the wider video software and VSaaS market expansion of 13.3%. The company strengthened its standing in the multi-billion-dollar enterprise security sector by expanding its share of the video management software sector in 2025. Meanwhile, competing vendors in second and third place recorded flat or declining performances over the same period.

Consequently, vendors offering unified platforms gained market share from suppliers unable to support diverse deployment options. The shift reflects broader economic priorities as enterprises modernize legacy security systems.
Regional Market Gains Across Global Territories
Independent analysis from Novaira Insights also placed the Montreal-based firm in the top position for total video surveillance software and service agreements. The study highlighted the company holding the leading position in the Americas for the 15th consecutive year. Furthermore, Genetec achieved the fastest market share growth among the top 10 suppliers in the EMEA region and secured a top-three ranking in the Asia Pacific region, excluding China.
