Genspark AI Workspace 4.0 launched on April 8, 2026, introducing four major updates that extend the platform’s reach from browser-based tools to desktop applications, Microsoft Office plugins, live meeting translation, and a faster workflow engine.
Genspark AI Workspace Gets a Native Desktop Client
The new Genspark Claw for Desktop is a native client that operates directly on a user’s local machine. Unlike the web version, it can access local files, applications, and the full screen. Two core functions drive this capability: Computer Use, which lets the artificial intelligence open folders, rename files, extract spreadsheet data, and move items without user input; and Browser Use, which handles web navigation tasks such as research, form filling, page monitoring, and multi-site data collection automatically.
Microsoft Office Integration via Native Plugins
Genspark has embedded AI agents directly inside PowerPoint, Excel, and Word as native plugins. In PowerPoint, the agent runs research and generates edited slides within an open presentation. In Excel, it produces charts, formulas, and data summaries inline. In Word, it edits and restructures documents with awareness of the surrounding content. The company said these agents are the same ones that power its standalone presentation and document generation tools, now placed inside the Office environment where users already work.
Speakly Adds Live Translation and Automated Meeting Notes
The Speakly feature set now includes two additions for distributed teams. Live Translation provides real-time multilingual translation during online meetings and video playback, removing the need for post-meeting transcripts. AI Meeting Notes connects to Google or Outlook calendars and deploys Meeting Bots that automatically join scheduled calls, record notes throughout, and send summaries to all attendees after the call ends. No per-meeting configuration is required.
These additions sit on top of Speakly’s existing capabilities rather than replacing them, the company stated. Teams working across multiple languages stand to benefit most from the live translation feature, which operates in real time during calls.
Advanced Workflows Engine Replaces Super Agent for Complex Tasks
For multi-step automation tasks that exceed what the existing Super Agent handles, Genspark introduced Advanced Workflows. The feature runs on OpenCode, a faster execution engine that the company said reduces wait times on complex tasks and handles edge cases and branching logic more reliably. Users who have reached the limits of Super Agent’s automation capacity are the intended audience for this update. The software positions Advanced Workflows as the next step up from Super Agent, not a replacement for everyday use cases.
Across all four updates, the stated direction is the same: fitting AI into existing work environments rather than requiring users to change how they operate. The platform now covers desktop, Office, calendar, and workflow contexts within a single product release.
