Dr. Mohammed bin Yahya Al-Sayel, President of the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA), has been elected Co-Chair of the UN Committee of Experts on Global geospatial information management (UN-GGIM). The election took place during the committee’s 16th session at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, marking a milestone for Saudi representation in international organizations.
Al-Sayel stated his commitment to working with the secretariat and bureau of the committee. Furthermore, he noted that the collaboration aims to strengthen international cooperation and support member states in developing national systems.
