Saudi households made 4.35 billion FMCG brand choices during the year, according to the latest Brand Footprint 2026 report by Worldpanel by Numerator. The study indicates that local and regional names accounted for 73% of all Consumer Reach Points (CRPs) among the top fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands in the Saudi Economy & Business sector.
This annual ranking measures the brands consumers choose most often by tracking CRPs. Specifically, this metric combines household penetration, population, and purchase frequency to capture every time a shopper selects a brand. Consequently, it provides a measure of brand strength in the country’s FMCG sector.
Factors Driving FMCG Brand Choices
Several factors influence how consumers make their FMCG brand choices in the local market. While overall FMCG spending softened slightly by 0.5%, household numbers continued to grow by 2.9%. This demographic growth creates opportunities for brands capable of attracting new shoppers.
Alan Roy, General Manager at Worldpanel by Numerator Middle East, stated that the FMCG market continues to evolve as shoppers balance trusted household names with local brands. Furthermore, he noted that the brands delivering the strongest growth are those successfully expanding their shopper base. Building penetration remains the most effective path to long-term growth.
Leading Dairy Brands Maintain Dominance
The overall FMCG ranking continues to be dominated by dairy brands. Almarai retained the number one position, followed by Nadec, Al Safi, and L’usine. Meanwhile, Nada climbed one place to enter the top five positions this year.
Kinza Records Significant Growth
Among the strongest performers, Saudi beverage brand Kinza delivered a notable success story. The brand climbed four places to rank 13th in the overall FMCG ranking while retaining the fourth position in the beverages category. Notably, Kinza generated 43 million CRPs, representing a 32% increase year-on-year.
The brand achieved 61.9% household penetration, recording the largest penetration gain among the top 100 FMCG brands with an increase of 8.6 percentage points. This growth reflects consumer support for “Saudi Made” products and a broad flavor portfolio. In addition, strong nationwide distribution and a clear value proposition helped expand its reach.
Market Dynamics and Household Expansion
The 14th edition of the report identified Kinza as the leading shopper recruiter among the top 50 FMCG brands. This highlights its ability to attract new consumers in a competitive marketplace. Ultimately, understanding these FMCG brand choices helps businesses manage the changing dynamics of the Saudi market.
