Google Antigravity 2.0 launched at Google I/O 2026 as an expanded agentic development platform, now available immediately for developers. The update includes a new desktop application, command-line interface (CLI), software development kit (SDK), native voice support with Gemini Audio models, and integrations with Google AI Studio, Android, Firebase, and the web.
The Antigravity 2.0 desktop application acts as a central hub for agent interaction. It allows developers to orchestrate multiple agents in parallel, schedule tasks for background automation, and integrate with Google AI Studio, Android, and Firebase. The CLI provides a lightweight, text-based surface for creating agents instantly without a graphical interface. Google is encouraging Gemini CLI users to migrate to Antigravity CLI, as the older tool will stop serving requests on June 18, 2026.
Google Antigravity 2.0 SDK and Voice Support
The Antigravity SDK offers programmatic access to the same agent harness powering Google’s products, optimized for Gemini models. Developers can define custom agent behaviors and host them on their infrastructure. Native voice command support is now integrated into Antigravity, similar to voice features added to Gmail and Docs.
In addition, Google introduced Managed Agents in the Gemini API. This feature lets developers spin up an agent with a single API call. The agent reasons, uses tools, and executes code in an isolated Linux environment, powered by the Antigravity agent harness and built on Gemini 3.5 Flash.
Gemini 3.5 Flash Powers the Platform
Gemini 3.5 Flash serves as the engine behind Antigravity. It outperforms Gemini 3.1 Pro on most benchmarks and runs four times faster than other frontier models. The model offers significant coding improvements, allowing developers to generate code at lower cost and higher speed. Google demonstrated Antigravity 2.0 building an operating system from scratch using less than $1,000 in tokens.
To support the expanded platform, Google also launched a $100 monthly Google AI Ultra subscription. Subscribers receive a 5X higher usage limit in Antigravity compared to the Pro plan. Additionally, new and existing Ultra subscribers get $100 in bonus Antigravity credits if they hit their plan quota, with the offer expiring May 25, 2026.
Integrations and AI Studio Expansion
Google released a dedicated Android app for AI Studio, where developers can speak or type ideas or start from example apps. An Antigravity export tool in AI Studio lets users export projects for local work. Antigravity also integrates with the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform for enterprise workloads, connecting directly to Google Cloud projects.
Future Outlook for Agentic Development
With these updates, Google aims to simplify agent-native software development. The Antigravity ecosystem now covers desktop, CLI, SDK, voice, and cloud integrations.
