Google I/O 2026 introduced a range of new AI products and features, including the Gemini Omni model, a redesigned AI Search box, and the Gemini 3.5 Flash model. The announcements were made during the company’s annual developer conference, with several updates rolling out to the Arab World.

Gemini Omni Arrives in the Arab World

Google unveiled Gemini Omni, a model that combines reasoning with content creation. It accepts images, audio, video, and text as inputs to generate high-quality videos grounded in real-world knowledge. Users can edit videos through conversation. The first model in the family, Gemini Omni Flash, is rolling out today to the Gemini app, Google Flow, and YouTube Shorts in the Arab World. Future updates will support image and audio outputs. All videos created with Omni include an imperceptible SynthID digital watermark.

AI-Powered Search Box Gets a Major Upgrade

Google also introduced the biggest upgrade to its Search box in 25 years, now reimagined with artificial intelligence. The intelligent Search box dynamically expands to let users describe their queries in natural language. It offers AI-powered suggestions that go beyond autocomplete and supports multimodal inputs including text, images, files, videos, and Chrome tabs. The new Search box begins rolling out today in all countries where AI Mode is available, including the Arab World.

Gemini 3.5 Flash: Faster and More Capable

Google announced Gemini 3.5 Flash, the first model in a series combining frontier intelligence with action. Compared to Gemini 3.1 Pro, it shows improvements across almost all benchmarks, particularly in coding and economically valuable tasks as measured by GDPVal. The model is four times faster in output tokens per second than other frontier models. Gemini 3.5 Flash is available today across Google products and APIs. A more powerful Gemini 3.5 Pro is expected next month.

SynthID Expands to More Partners and Products

Google is adding Content Credentials verification across products, showing whether content originated from AI or a camera. Both Content Credentials and SynthID verification are expanding to Search and Chrome. Nvidia adopted SynthID last year, while OpenAI, Ka-Kow, and Eleven Labs are now also adopting the cybersecurity watermarking tool. Google sees this cross-industry collaboration as setting a standard for transparency in AI.

Additional Announcements: Android XR, Universal Cart, Antigravity 2.0

Google also revealed Android XR audio glasses with spoken assistance and in-lens display glasses. The Universal Cart feature is an intelligent shopping cart that works across Google products, allowing users to add items while browsing Search or chatting in the Gemini app. It will launch in the US this summer. Antigravity 2.0 expands beyond coding to become a platform for managing autonomous AI agents. An optimized version for Flash is 12 times faster than other frontier models.

These updates highlight Google’s focus on integrating AI across its ecosystem, with many features already available or coming soon to users in the Arab World via apps and software updates.
