Engineers adapted specific elements of ARRI image science and cinema workflows for the smartphones ecosystem. The HONOR Robot Phone combines ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3, and ARRI Looks on a single pocket device. ARRI LogC3 retains extensive highlight and shadow detail for post-production editing pipelines. Meanwhile, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 offers an expanded color space matching cinema standards, and ARRI Looks provides calibrated color styling directly during mobile video recording.

Prior to Venice, demonstrations of the device took place across multiple international cinematic events. HONOR presented the smartphone at the 79th Cannes Film Festival as well as the 28th Shanghai International Film Festival. The device uses specialized camera stabilization robotics alongside automated processing to support mobile capture workflows for independent filmmakers and production crews.
Future Technical Development
Both companies confirmed plans to refine their joint imaging technologies based on technical testing and real-world filming applications. As hardware advances across the AI sector, future smartphone releases from HONOR will incorporate additional workflow tools and stabilization algorithms derived from the ongoing ARRI partnership.
