Huawei AI banking solutions received a comprehensive upgrade at MWC Barcelona 2026, as the company held a dedicated financial sector session titled “Strengthening Agile Intelligence, Collaborating to Build the Future of Finance” on March 5, 2026.

Jason Cao, CEO of Huawei Digital Finance BU, said that banks must build resilient capabilities across multiple dimensions in an uncertain world. He added that this requires active multi-redundancy to prevent system outages, multi-layered cybersecurity defenses against cyberattacks, and a solid foundation for global financial institutions to accelerate their entry into the AI era.

Transition from Traditional to Huawei AI Banking

Alvin Feng, President of Huawei International Digital Finance, delivered a speech titled “Beyond Digital: Toward AI-Powered Finance.” He said the shift from traditional banks to artificial intelligence-driven banks brings deep changes in customer interactions, human-machine collaboration, decision-making approaches, system architecture, and customer experience.

Feng added that banks need a clear roadmap connecting business strategy with technology execution. He stated that the key to AI-driven banking transformation lies in using systems engineering to unify AI infrastructure with open ecosystems, and re-engineering banking processes through collaboration between human and artificial intelligence.

Intelligent Finance Value Implementer Framework

Drawing on its global experience with leading financial institutions, Huawei developed the Intelligent Finance Value Implementer framework. This framework provides a structured approach to scenario selection, enterprise architecture, and AI deployment, enabling banks to build both digital and AI-based foundations.

Supported by systems engineering and an open ecosystem, the framework helps banks achieve technological and business value simultaneously. This reflects a fundamental shift in which technology is no longer a support function but a core value center within the business.

Infrastructure and Performance Upgrades

Huawei unveiled its latest SuperPoD offerings, the AI Data Platform, and the Xinghe AI Network. These products help financial sector clients build resilient infrastructure for both general computing and AI computing workloads.

Moreover, Huawei applied systems engineering to reduce the AI agent development cycle from months to weeks. The company also improved AI prompt accuracy by 10% and cut end-to-end response latency by more than 60%. These gains came through building end-to-end capabilities in intelligent operations, specialized model fine-tuning, AI agent development, and scenario design.

RongHai Ecosystem Expansion

Huawei also upgraded its RongHai program, which now includes more than 150 solution partners and more than 11,000 partners in consulting, sales, services, and integration worldwide. The expanded ecosystem covers customer operations, risk management, automation, and collaborative AI innovation across all scenarios with financial institutions.

“In a world marked by uncertainty, banks must build resilient capabilities across multiple dimensions.”

Future Outlook

Looking ahead, Huawei stated its commitment to continuous development to help global financial institutions build intelligent, autonomous, and resilient digital infrastructure. Through its open ecosystem and systems engineering capabilities, the company said it will drive the deep integration of artificial intelligence into core financial scenarios.

The financial technology sector continues to see accelerating AI adoption, with major vendors competing to offer end-to-end platforms that reduce deployment timelines and improve operational efficiency for banks worldwide.
