Huawei has officially launched the HUAWEI FreeClip 2 Special Edition open-ear earbuds in Saudi Arabia. The new audio device combines a luminous aesthetic design with updated hardware features. Consequently, the product aims to provide a balanced listening experience for daily use. This release represents the latest addition to the company’s growing portfolio of smart devices in the region.
Luminous Design and Color Options
The earbuds are available in two new color options, specifically Deepsea Blue and Space Silver. Each earbud weighs 5.1 grams and features a flexible C-bridge design. Furthermore, this bridge is crafted from liquid silicone and finished through a 22-step paint-spraying process. This manufacturing method gives the device a high-gloss metallic finish while maintaining a lightweight profile.
In addition, the symmetrical charging case is produced using over 100 precision manufacturing steps. The design allows the earbuds to sit side-by-side when the case is opened. Consequently, this layout provides easy access while showcasing the metallic sheen of the product.

Audio Technology in the HUAWEI FreeClip 2
Inside the device, Huawei has integrated its third-generation audio chip alongside an NPU AI processor. This hardware supports real-time environmental awareness and automatic volume adjustments. As a result, the earbuds adapt to ambient noise levels in different settings. Whether users are in a quiet room or a busy transit station, the system normalizes the audio source loudness automatically.
Additionally, the dual-diaphragm driver reproduces vocal textures and drum beats. Users can also choose from three sensitivity options to match their personal listening preferences. Meanwhile, the adaptive voice enhancement feature clarifies audiobooks and music tracks. This technology ensures that vocal frequencies remain clear even in noisy environments.
Battery Case and Accessory Storage
The charging case has undergone more than 100 manufacturing steps to achieve its symmetrical shape. Notably, the internal usable space has increased by 20% compared to the standard HUAWEI FreeClip 2 model. This extra space allows users to store small accessories like earrings inside the case. Therefore, the case serves a dual purpose of charging the earbuds and securing small personal items.
This design choice addresses user feedback regarding the portability of small accessories. By expanding the internal volume without increasing the external dimensions, the case remains compact. Consequently, it fits easily into pockets or small bags for daily travel.
Pricing and Availability in Saudi Arabia
The new earbuds are priced at 749 SAR in the local market. Customers can purchase them through official retail channels and authorized partners. This launch is part of Huawei’s broader strategy to expand its consumer electronics footprint. Notably, the company spent over $23 billion on research and development in 2023, representing 23.4% of its total revenue.
This R&D investment has allowed the company to introduce updated audio technologies across its product lines. Over the past decade, the company’s total R&D spending has exceeded $154 billion globally. As a result, these technological advancements continue to filter down to consumer accessories like the HUAWEI FreeClip 2 series.
