The HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max has launched in Saudi Arabia as a 13-inch tablet measuring 4.7 mm in thickness, expanding the brand’s portfolio of mobile devices.
To achieve this thickness, the manufacturer replaced the traditional sandwich structure with an integrated all-metal unibody design. Additionally, the device uses a mainboard with a laser-assisted component embedding process to integrate components directly into the board.
This model represents a physical reduction compared to the previous generation 13-inch tablet, which measured 5.5 mm in thickness. By redesigning the internal architecture from the ground up, the company reduced the thickness without compromising on core hardware capabilities.
Furthermore, the tablet incorporates load-bearing beams and steel reinforcements on the camera, mainboard, and battery. Consequently, these structural additions improve the overall bending resistance of the device by 60%.
Display Specifications
The device features a notch-free 13.2-inch 3K flexible OLED PaperMatte Display. Notably, this screen supports a 144 Hz refresh rate and reaches a peak brightness of 1600 nits. The display has also received the TÜV Rheinland Full Care Display 5.0 Certification.
The screen uses a high-precision nano-level etching process to improve clarity and reduce glare. Consequently, this technology enhances eye comfort during extended viewing sessions.
Productivity and Software Features
For productivity, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max comes with the upgraded WPS Office, which includes new WPS artificial intelligence capabilities. Meanwhile, the updated HUAWEI Notes application allows users to import documents and PowerPoint files directly.
The tablet works with the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro and the GoPaint application, which offers more than 150 brush types. In addition, users can pair the device with the HUAWEI Glide Keyboard for physical typing and stylus storage.
Battery and Audio Performance
A 10,400 mAh high-silicon anode battery powers the device, providing up to 14.5 hours of local video playback. Moreover, the tablet supports 40 W reverse SuperCharge to power other devices. Audio is delivered through a 6-speaker crossover system with a quad-driver bass unit.
The audio system is designed to provide loud and clear sound despite the thin profile of the chassis. Specifically, the quad-driver bass unit works in tandem with the six speakers to balance high and low frequencies.
HUAWEI MatePad Pro Max Availability
