The all-new Nissan Navara PRO pickup is set to launch in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant milestone for the Japanese automaker’s regional strategy. The vehicle represents the first Nissan manufactured in China to be introduced to the Middle East, arriving from Zhengzhou Nissan Automobile Co., Ltd, the company’s joint venture operation in China.
Announced on April 29, 2026, the Navara PRO combines Nissan’s 12 generations of pickup heritage with modern engineering and two powerful internal combustion engine variants. The truck targets both commercial fleet operators and individual buyers seeking a versatile platform for work and recreational use.
“The Navara PRO combines Nissan’s decades-long history as a pickup leader with the latest advanced powertrain and tech innovations,” stated Richard Candler, Corporate Executive for Family, Product and Components Strategy at Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. “It will deliver efficient, effortless performance with the quality and intrepid spirit that has been infused in Nissan pickups for nearly 100 years.”
Designed for Middle East Operations
The Navara PRO features a “Rugged Tech” design concept combining a bold, muscular exterior with a modern, spacious interior. Nissan conducted extensive validation testing to ensure durability and performance in the region’s unique climate and terrain conditions.
The pickup offers dual-purpose versatility with adaptable specifications for heavy-duty commercial applications and off-road recreational capability. Safety features and comfort amenities prioritize occupant security and refined cabin experience across both professional and personal use cases.
Strategic Regional Expansion
The Navara PRO launch follows Nissan’s intensive product offensive in the Middle East. The company introduced the all-new Patrol lineup last year, including the region’s first Patrol PRO-4X variant and the track-inspired Patrol NISMO. Additionally, Nissan entered new segments with the all-new Magnite crossover and the redesigned KICKS.
Massimiliano Messina, Nissan AMIEO Regional Chairperson, said: “The Middle East is a cornerstone of Nissan’s global strategy. We are investing in bold, innovative products as part of a product offensive in the region which will continue to build our brand and meet the high expectations of our customers.”
First Nissan Vehicle from China for the Region
Under Nissan’s “Re:Nissan” global strategy, the company prioritizes large SUVs while sourcing high-quality vehicles from China to complement its regional lineup. The Navara PRO arrives with more than two decades of market presence in the Middle East, backed by Nissan’s established pickup reputation and reliability track record.
Thierry Sabbagh, Divisional Vice President and President for Middle East, KSA, CIS and India at Nissan and INFINITI, commented: “By introducing the all-new Navara PRO, our first vehicle from China for this region, we are directly addressing the demand for versatile, rugged, and high-performance pickups. With its deep-rooted legacy in our markets and its reputation for reliability, the Navara PRO is engineered to excel in our unique environment.”
Future Outlook and Technical Details
Nissan stated that further details regarding the Middle East and Saudi Arabia launch, including full technical specifications, will be shared at a later date. The Navara PRO represents the first pickup truck designed, developed, and manufactured in China specifically for global export by Nissan.
As the company moves into fiscal year 2026, the Navara PRO leads an upcoming wave of new models designed to strengthen Nissan’s presence and commitment to meeting every lifestyle and business need across the Middle East region.
