The Humain Horizon Ultra laptop has been teased ahead of its scheduled presentation at the LEAP technology conference in Riyadh. Developed by Humain, the artificial intelligence company owned by the Public Investment Fund, the device represents an expansion into hardware in collaboration with chip designer Qualcomm. The machine integrates specialized silicon intended to run local processing workloads directly on the hardware.
Hardware Design of Humain Horizon Ultra
According to reporting by Semafor, the Humain Horizon Ultra packaging carries the phrase “Designed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.” Teaser materials shared by Humain Chief Executive Officer Tareq Amin show a grey chassis with company branding on the display lid. The bottom casing includes an extended ventilation grille to assist thermal management under processing loads.
The notebook includes a large trackpad and a bilingual Arabic and Latin keyboard. In addition, the keyboard features a dedicated button bearing the Humain emblem, placed to offer immediate access to software functions. Physical connectivity along the chassis includes two USB-C ports and a standard 3.5 mm audio jack for external computers peripherals.
Local Processing and Architecture
The device uses Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite silicon to handle computational tasks without mandatory cloud reliance. Amin stated that the design brings together the central processing unit, graphics processing unit, and neural processing unit. Consequently, the architecture runs artificial intelligence models locally on the machine.
Humain previously indicated that the system would incorporate continuous 5G cellular data access alongside Qualcomm hardware. However, specific memory capacities, storage tiers, battery specifications, and screen resolution figures have not yet been released. The Humain Horizon Ultra joins the company’s previously announced Horizon Pro model in its expanding personal computer portfolio.
Operating System for Agentic Workloads
Beyond standard silicon integration, the system is designed to explore software optimized for agentic operations. Amin noted that the development process reconsiders how an operating system functions when coordinating direct automated actions rather than conventional application launching. Furthermore, this approach positions the platform against competitors in personal computing that rely on preloaded digital assistants.
Conference Reveal and Regional Context
Full hardware specifications and commercial availability dates are scheduled for presentation at the LEAP conference starting on August 31 in Riyadh. The project reflects broader initiatives under the Public Investment Fund to develop domestic technology infrastructure within the national economy.
