The newly released Kaspersky sustainability report outlines the company’s strategic initiatives to build a safer digital environment between 2024 and 2025.

Specifically, the document highlights a 74% increase in detected advanced persistent threat (APT) groups compared to 2023. This growth in threat detection was supported by intelligence gathered through five dedicated expertise centers. Consequently, the company focused on reducing disruption and financial losses caused by cyber incidents.

Global Law Enforcement Cooperation

A significant part of the social impact detailed in the Kaspersky sustainability report stems from cooperation with global law enforcement agencies.

During the reporting period, the company contributed to joint operations with INTERPOL and AFRIPOL. Notably, these efforts resulted in the arrest of more than 2,600 suspected cybercriminals. As a result, this collaboration reduced the opportunities available to attackers.

Furthermore, the company formalized its collaboration with AFRIPOL by signing a five-year cooperation agreement. In addition, it delivered cybersecurity training to law enforcement representatives from 23 African countries. These sessions covered the fundamentals of security operations center (SOC) operations and advanced threat hunting techniques. Consequently, local teams are now more capable of independently detecting and responding to threats.

During 2024–2025, the company was granted 155 patents, including 135 related to artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, its global research and development team of approximately 3,000 employees produced 373 research publications. By joining the European Commission’s AI Pact and supporting the UN Global Digital Compact, the company aligned its development practices with emerging global governance standards. Architectural Resilience and New Products

The company’s cyber immunity approach, implemented through KasperskyOS, shifts security from reactive protection to architectural resilience.

Instead of repeatedly patching vulnerabilities, systems are designed to be inherently resistant to compromise. This design reduces maintenance overhead and resource inefficiency in securing digital environments.

Among the new product launches, the eSIM store expanded the company’s offering into mobile connectivity. By reducing reliance on physical SIM cards, the solution supports digital lifestyles. In addition, the company released its cloud workload security solution to protect workloads on servers, virtual machines, and private or public clouds. These developments contribute to the overall economy by securing digital infrastructure.
