The deployment of the new LinkedIn AI filter has generated significant activity across the professional network in recent weeks. More than one million members have clicked the feedback option since its release, according to data shared by chief product officer Hari Srinivasan. The company introduced the option on July 30 to help members flag repetitive, automated posts directly from their feed menus.
User Engagement and the LinkedIn AI Filter
Members access the reporting tool through the standard three-dot menu located on individual posts. In his update, Srinivasan stated that feeds across the platform show a 40 percent reduction in views on flagged automated posts compared to previous weeks. This outcome follows an internal adjustment to the classifiers that scan text across the social media network.
As reported by The Verge, the update arrived shortly after third-party evaluations raised questions regarding feed quality. Specifically, AI detector Pangram had previously determined that 41 percent of longform posts on the service were fully generated by machine tools.
Automated Content and Detection Metrics
Alongside the reporting mechanism, the professional network introduced upgraded machine learning classifiers. Concurrently, the platform removed an earlier built-in feature that allowed users to automatically enhance their draft posts with generative software. Company leadership emphasized that curbing automated low-value text remains a primary operational priority.

New Feedback Notices for Creators
To support writers, the service is introducing automated notifications when other accounts report their text. The platform will display a notification stating that members felt the post appeared machine-generated. Srinivasan explained that the feature aims to provide constructive feedback rather than punitive measures, noting that many creators want to maintain natural communication.

The platform also expanded its monitoring beyond primary updates. Earlier this year, management announced strict measures against automated comments published with minimal human involvement.
