The first joint Mawhiba training program with Huawei Tech. Investment Saudi Arabia Co. Ltd. has officially launched to equip Saudi university students with advanced artificial intelligence skills. This initiative provides specialized training in Shenzhen, China, focusing on the fundamentals of machine learning and deep learning.
Under this initiative, selected Saudi university students holding bachelor’s degrees in computer science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and big data will undergo intensive instruction. The curriculum covers foundation models, AI development frameworks, and business applications. Furthermore, participants will engage in direct field applications and visit global research and innovation centers.
Scope of the Mawhiba Training Program
This program represents the first practical activation of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two entities on June 17, 2026. Notably, the agreement aims to train 500 beneficiaries across four primary technical tracks. These tracks include cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and data communication networks.
In addition to student training, this Mawhiba training program includes professional certification and examination programs supervised directly by Huawei experts. Meanwhile, faculty members at Saudi universities will receive specialized training on Huawei’s platforms and technologies. Consequently, this collaborative effort aims to bridge the gap between academic outcomes and the requirements of the technology labor market.
