Building a dedicated AI data center infrastructure in Saudi Arabia reached a major milestone during LEAP 2026. Al Moammar Information Systems (MIS) and Humain Saudi Arabia announced a partnership to establish high-capacity facilities across the Kingdom. The joint initiative delivers a total capacity of 250 megawatts to support advanced computing workloads.
The agreement covers fundamental civil engineering and foundational construction works required for modern computing facilities. Consequently, the project strengthens domestic capabilities in high-performance cloud processing and computational power.
Expanding AI Data Center Infrastructure in the Kingdom
Under the terms of the agreement, MIS and Humain will execute baseline construction to deploy facilities capable of running complex computing models. Furthermore, this 250 MW capacity expansion addresses the growing demand for local high-density processing power.
Meanwhile, the initiative aligns with wider computing announcements made at the conference, positioning the Kingdom as a regional technology hub for next-generation digital infrastructure.
Strategic Cloud and Model Integrations
Alongside the infrastructure rollout, related cloud expansions were confirmed at the event. AWS announced plans to launch its first cloud region in Saudi Arabia in December 2026, working with Humain to deliver up to 50 megawatts of capacity within the specialized AI zone by 2028.
In addition, Humain Fabric will be made available to AWS users, while the Arabic large language model Allam will integrate into Amazon Bedrock. This integration provides developers with access to locally trained models on global cloud computing platforms.
Collaboration on High-Performance Compute
Humain also partnered with Together Compute to establish 55 megawatts of dedicated processing capacity. This separate project complements an additional 250 MW facility designed to scale advanced computing services and deploy specialized applications.
These combined agreements ensure that modern enterprise tools have adequate physical support. The continuous deployment of high-density server space provides essential backing for local software development and cybersecurity compliance.
Future Outlook for Regional Computing
The expansion of high-capacity compute facilities marks a concrete step in Saudi Arabia’s digital roadmaps. As infrastructure operators complete foundational works, public and private organizations gain direct access to localized processing resources.
Moreover, integrating specialized hardware with regional network routes will reduce latency for enterprise services across the Middle East. The phased rollout of these facilities through 2028 establishes long-term computing self-reliance.
