Nothing Phone 4a arrives in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates on March 18, 2026, marking the company’s latest expansion into the Middle East market. The London-based company also launched the Headphone (a), an over-ear audio product available in the UAE now and in Saudi Arabia from the same date.
The mobile device targets the mid-range segment, combining a transparent design with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. The phone runs Nothing OS 4.1, built on Android 16, and ships with three years of major Android updates and six years of security patches.

The phone is available in Black, White, Blue, and Pink across three storage configurations. In the UAE, it sells through Amazon, Noon, Jumbo Electronics, and Sharaf DG. In Saudi Arabia, retail partners include Amazon, Noon, Jarir Bookstore, Al Haddad Telecom, and STC.

The Headphone (a) is priced at AED 599 in the UAE and SAR 699 in Saudi Arabia. It comes in Pink, Yellow, White, and Black, and offers up to five days of battery life on a single charge.
Camera System and Display
The camera system includes a 50-megapixel Periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and optical image stabilization. A 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, a Sony ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel front camera complete the array. The zoom range spans 0.6x to 70x.
The TrueLens Engine 4 powers computational photography features, including Ultra XDR photos developed in collaboration with Google. These photos are now integrated into motion images and can be shared directly via Instagram. An artificial intelligence-based eraser tool removes unwanted elements from images, and seven Nothing watermarks are available for creative use.
The 6.78-inch AMOLED display runs at 1.5K resolution (1224 x 2720) with a pixel density of 440 ppi. Peak brightness reaches 4,500 nits in HDR mode and 1,600 nits in HBM mode. The screen supports a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, a 2,500 Hz touch response rate, and 2160 Hz PWM dimming to reduce eye strain. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the display.
Glyph Bar and Nothing OS Features
The updated Glyph Bar features 63 micro-LED lights across seven square lighting zones, producing uniform illumination at up to 3,500 nits — 40 percent brighter than the Glyph interface on the Phone (3a) series. The design uses three patented technologies, including dual-color injection-molded lamp covers that prevent light leakage. The bar also functions as a soft fill light for photos and videos.
Nothing OS 4.1 introduces redesigned icons, a new lock screen, a deeper night mode, and floating apps for multitasking. The AI Dashboard gives users control over artificial intelligence features, including Essential Search for cross-app information retrieval and Essential Memory for personalized results. The Playground platform allows users to build personal apps without writing code.
Performance, Battery, and Sustainability
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 delivers a 7 percent improvement in CPU and GPU performance and a 10 percent gain in power efficiency compared to its predecessor. AI performance improves by 92.5 percent compared to the Phone (2a), according to Nothing. The phone supports BGMI at 120 Hz and PUBG at 90 Hz.
The 5,080 mAh battery supports up to 17 hours of mixed use. The 50-watt fast charger reaches 60 percent in 30 minutes, approximately 10 percent faster than the Phone (2a) series. Battery health management retains more than 90 percent capacity after 1,200 charge cycles, equivalent to over three years of daily use.
Nothing states the Phone (4a) carries a carbon footprint of 51.13 kg CO2 equivalent, the lowest for any device the company has produced. The phone uses 30 recycled components, including 30 percent recycled plastic, 100 percent recycled aluminum and tin, and 80 percent recycled steel. Over 99 percent of packaging materials are plastic-free, and final assembly runs entirely on renewable energy.
“The global response to Nothing Phone (4a) has been very encouraging. After record first-day sales in India, we are continuing this momentum in the Middle East. With Eid Al Fitr approaching, Nothing Phone (4a) is a considered gift option at an accessible price, especially when paired with the new Headphone (a).”
Rishi Kishore Gupta, Regional Director, Middle East and Africa, Nothing
The smartphone launch follows a 13 percent growth in the Middle East smartphone market during 2025, with the UAE recording the same annual growth rate. Nothing attributed this growth to rising demand for high-performance mid-range devices and accelerating upgrade cycles among consumers seeking flagship-level features at lower price points.
