Nutanix announced new platform capabilities and program enhancements for its service provider partners, including multitenant cloud functionality through the Nutanix Service Provider Central program. The announcement, made in Dubai on May 3, 2026, targets partners seeking to scale operations and differentiate their service offerings in the hybrid multicloud market.
The Nutanix service provider expansion addresses a specific market need for enterprise-grade Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions. Service Provider Central will become available in the second half of 2026, designed primarily for VMware Cloud Service Provider partners transitioning to alternative platforms.
Service Provider Central Capabilities
Service Provider Central integrates with the Nutanix Cloud Platform to offer a single management interface through Nutanix Central. The solution enables service providers to run multiple customer tenants with automated workflows on shared infrastructure while maintaining operational control and compliance requirements.
Each tenant receives its own private cloud environment with access to Nutanix Prism. Customers can manage compute, storage, networking, identity, and authorization independently. Meanwhile, service providers maintain centralized operational governance across all tenants on the shared infrastructure.
Nutanix Verified Solutions Program
Nutanix introduced the “Powered by Nutanix: Verified Solutions” program, offering official verification for service providers delivering offerings aligned with Nutanix architectural standards and best practices. This verification helps customers identify trusted, high-quality services built on Nutanix software.
The program initially covers private cloud services with solution badges available for IaaS, Sovereign IaaS, and Disaster Recovery as a Service. Nutanix plans to expand verification coverage in the future to include Desktop as a Service and cloud native solutions.
Migration Support for VMware Transitions
Nutanix is offering onboarding incentives to accelerate service provider transitions from VMware. Qualified providers can access Nutanix software at a nominal monthly commitment during a promotional period on new subscriptions with three-year or longer terms tied to VMware replacements.
This approach helps service providers avoid paying full costs for both platforms simultaneously during migration phases, reducing the financial burden of transitioning infrastructure.
Middle East Service Provider Focus
Shaista Ahmed, Director of Channel and OEM Sales for Middle East and Africa at Nutanix, stated that service providers in Saudi Arabia are increasingly supporting organizational modernization efforts. The expanding capabilities address growing demand for flexible cloud operating models in the region.
These enhancements position service providers to deliver differentiated cloud services while supporting customer transitions to hybrid multicloud environments with improved operational control and security governance.
