Qatar Airways Saudi flights will resume to four regional gateways across the Kingdom during the upcoming winter season, increasing total operations to more than 155 weekly services. The scheduled resumption covers regional operations to Qassim, Taif, Yanbu, and Tabuk, reinforcing the carrier’s network connectivity across the Arabian Peninsula.
Expansion of Qatar Airways Saudi flights
The planned additions represent a growth of more than 10 percent in weekly services compared to the summer period. Each of the four resumed routes will operate with two weekly frequencies, providing regional travelers with direct connectivity to the airline’s global network of over 160 destinations worldwide through Hamad International Airport in Doha.
Services to Qassim will begin on 25 October 2026 on Sundays, with a second weekly frequency launching on Friday, 30 October 2026. Flights to Taif are scheduled to commence on 31 October 2026, operating every Wednesday and Saturday. Furthermore, seasonal routes serving Yanbu and Tabuk will begin in early 2027, with Yanbu flights launching on 2 January 2027 and Tabuk following on 3 January 2027.
Passenger Volume and Network Growth
Over the past 12 months, the airline carried more than 2.3 million passengers between Saudi Arabia and its broader international route map. In June 2026, weekly services to Riyadh expanded from 35 to 49 flights to accommodate increasing demand for regional tourism, leisure travel, and commercial traffic.
Following the reintroduction of these four routes, the carrier will serve a total of 13 destinations across the Kingdom. The network includes Abha, AlUla, Dammam, Hail, Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh, and The Red Sea destination. Meanwhile, operations to NEOM are scheduled to resume in the second half of 2027.
In-Flight Connectivity and Fleet Operations
Passengers traveling on high-density Saudi routes benefit from advanced satellite technology. Regular widebody flights connecting Doha to Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam operate with Starlink equipment, delivering high-speed, gate-to-gate wireless internet access under modern telecom standards.
In July 2026 alone, the airline operated over 685 Starlink-equipped flights across these three primary routes. The continued increase in Qatar Airways Saudi flights supports broader travel movement across the Gulf region, while Privilege Club loyalty members can access onboard connectivity and redeem reward points across travel and retail services.
