Announced in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment and the General Commission for Audiovisual Media, the move aligns with the Kingdom’s broader digital economy goals under Saudi Vision 2030, according to Okaz.
Saudi Arabia represents one of the fastest growing markets for the company. Specifically, local content creator earnings on the platform surged by 59 percent year over year, while global payouts to creators surpassed 1.5 billion dollars in 2025. This growth highlights expanding commercial opportunities within the regional gaming and digital entertainment sector.
Strategic Role of Roblox Regional Headquarters
The Roblox regional headquarters will serve as a central operational base to support creators, developers, and educational initiatives across the region. In addition, the platform provides development tools that allow users to design interactive spaces and monetize digital creations directly.

Educational Initiatives and Savvy Games Group Partnership
The regional opening builds on existing local partnerships, including a collaboration formed in 2026 with Savvy Games Group. That initiative focused on using interactive experiences as a modern education tool to teach science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills to students and aspiring game developers.
As part of this effort, the first edition of the Learn Through Play competition engaged more than 700,000 high school students in Saudi Arabia. Ten selected student game concepts were subsequently adapted into interactive experiences within the platform’s learning hub.

Company leadership emphasized that the Riyadh office represents a sustained operational commitment. Mohamed Al-Shaikh, General Manager of Roblox for MENA and Turkey, stated that the company intends to invest in programs that support local talent and contribute directly to the national economy.
