Rubrik Agent Cloud (RAC) launched on April 29, 2026, providing organizations with governance and security capabilities for AI agents running on Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. The integration addresses growing enterprise demand for controlled AI deployment as autonomous agent adoption accelerates across industries.
Gartner research indicates 40% of enterprise applications will integrate with task-specific AI agents by the end of 2026. Organizations deploying agents on Google Cloud can now monitor, govern, and remediate AI actions in real time using Rubrik’s semantic governance engine, which enables operators to instantly undo agent mistakes without manual intervention.
Core Capabilities of Rubrik Agent Cloud
The platform includes four primary components. Semantic AI Governance Engine (SAGE) replaces manual oversight with intent-driven governance, maintaining control over agent behavior during scaled deployments. Agent Inventory autodiscovers agents running on Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform with visibility into risk, access permissions, and policy violations across the environment.
Agent Rewind enables instant reversal of destructive agent actions, a capability absent in competing solutions. The Unified AI Control Pane integrates seamlessly with Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, allowing administrators to manage AI security policies from a single platform used for Google Workspace and hybrid cloud data management.
Enterprise Security and Operational Benefits
Satish Thomas, Vice President of Applied AI and Platform Ecosystem at Google Cloud, stated that “security and governance are top of mind” as enterprises move into autonomous operations with Gemini Enterprise. He added that Rubrik “provides a unified control layer for agent deployment and security that is critical for AI success.”
Devvret Rishi, General Manager AI at Rubrik, said that “enterprises want the speed of Google Cloud’s AI technologies, but also require the safety of cyber resilience.” He noted that the collaboration removes governance bottlenecks for development teams, allowing organizations to “speed AI agents into production without the worry of compromising enterprise security or integrity.”
Industry Context and Deployment Timeline
The AI agent market faces critical challenges around safety and accountability. Early enterprise deployments revealed risks when agents act autonomously without proper guardrails or audit trails. Rubrik Agent Cloud addresses this gap by providing real-time visibility and control mechanisms that bridge the operational gap between rapid AI innovation and enterprise risk management standards.
Rubrik demonstrated the integration at Google Cloud Next 2026, held April 22 to 24 in Las Vegas. The company operates as a Security and AI Operations provider, offering cyber resilience solutions that secure, monitor, and recover data, identities, and workloads across cloud environments. Organizations interested in pilot deployments can request a demonstration to evaluate Rubrik Agent Cloud within their existing Google Cloud infrastructure.
