The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority concluded its international program focused on SDAIA data governance and digital policy frameworks in Belgium and Germany.
The initiative, organized in partnership with the World Bank, took place from June 8 to 12, 2026. Representatives from both organizations reviewed international experiences in data management and digital policy. Meanwhile, the delegation held consultations with European experts to exchange knowledge on regulatory frameworks.
International Collaboration on SDAIA Data Governance
During the five-day program, participants highlighted the Kingdom’s progress in building a national ecosystem for technology. Specifically, the Saudi delegation presented achievements in digital policy and regulatory frameworks. They also discussed the responsible use of advanced technologies within the framework of SDAIA data governance.
The program included specialized sessions with European and international entities. These meetings took place in Brussels and Berlin, involving government bodies, non-profit organizations, and digital policy think tanks.

The discussions in Belgium and Germany covered several key areas of digital development. Notably, participants focused on international cooperation in artificial intelligence, regulatory frameworks, and privacy protection. They also addressed cross-border challenges associated with emerging technologies.
Furthermore, the teams examined frameworks that support responsible innovation and digital transformation. The joint teams from the authority and the World Bank analyzed advanced practices in digital policy development. Consequently, they identified mechanisms to strengthen international knowledge exchange.
