The data regulatory sandbox managed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has expanded with two new specialized tracks. Announced during the LEAP 2026 conference in Riyadh, the initiative introduces targeted environments for personal data protection and data monetization. The expansion aims to broaden testing opportunities for digital products and services under direct regulatory supervision.
Expansion of the Data Regulatory Sandbox
Al-Rebdi bin Fahd Al-Rebdi, Head of the National Data Management Office at SDAIA, revealed the launch during an official ceremony held under the theme “When Innovation Meets Privacy.” In addition, the event celebrated the graduation of several organizations that concluded their testing cycles within the regulatory environment.
