Sharjah Islamic Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Sharjah to establish a framework for cooperation in financial literacy and professional development.

The partnership represents the first step in a broader initiative by the bank to strengthen collaboration with education institutions across the United Arab Emirates. This initiative focuses on investing in national talent and preparing students for the post-graduation phase.

Yaqoub Amir, Head of Employee Relations at the bank, and Shihab Alhammadi, Vice Chancellor for Financial and Administrative Affairs at the university, signed the agreement. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Mohamed Abdalla, CEO of the bank, and Prof. Esameldin Agamy, Chancellor of the university.

Objectives of the Academic Collaboration

Under the agreement, both entities will collaborate on internship and field training programs for students. They will also participate in career fairs to support graduate development and talent acquisition.
