New Skyscanner travel tools have been launched to assist travelers with summer trip planning.

The global travel platform, which serves more than 160 million monthly users, introduced several experimental beta features. These updates aim to simplify flight, accommodation, and car rental searches. According to the company, the platform scans over 100 billion prices daily to provide options for users.

1. Explore with AI

The “Explore with AI” tool uses natural language processing to suggest destinations. Currently available in English-speaking markets, it provides visual comparisons of flight prices, weather, and travel times. Initial tests conducted with 14,000 English-speaking travelers between April 28 and May 5, 2026, showed strong engagement. Specifically, 60% of users proceeded to search for flights after using this feature.

“We focus on developing tools that help travelers plan and book with confidence. We continue to explore the possibilities of artificial intelligence to make every stage of the journey easier.”

Bryan Batista, Chief Executive Officer of Skyscanner

2. Road Trip Planner

This tool helps users create customized driving itineraries. Travelers enter their starting location, dates, and preferred route style. The system then generates a detailed schedule with stops, activities, and car rental options. Users can choose from various routes, including scenic, fast, cultural, adventure, or relaxing paths.

3. Skyscanner travel tools Drops

The “Drops” feature has been updated to offer more daily deals. By analyzing over 100 billion prices, the tool identifies flights that dropped in price by 20% or more. Users can now access up to 822% more daily deals through the mobile apps. This feature is available exclusively on the mobile application.

4. Flight Tracker and Accommodations

A new flight tracking tool provides real-time updates on flight status, gates, and baggage carousels. Additionally, the accommodations platform expanded its listings from 3.5 million to over 5 million properties. This expansion allows travelers to compare hotels, hostels, campsites, and unique stays.

These Skyscanner travel tools are designed to simplify the booking process by expanding databases and features. The integration of artificial intelligence helps automate complex travel planning tasks. Consequently, travelers can make more informed decisions when booking their summer trips.
