The latest report on stc group sustainability highlights the company’s environmental and social achievements during the year 2025.
The digital enabler published its seventh annual sustainability report, which details its progress in climate action, governance, and community development. Notably, the group secured an upgraded AA MSCI ESG rating, reflecting its ongoing commitment to responsible business practices.
Environmental Performance and Climate Action
According to the report, the group reduced its overall energy intensity by 4.96% at the group level in 2025. Within Saudi Arabia, the company recorded a 3.9% reduction in total Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. Furthermore, the organization achieved a 10.6% reduction in energy intensity across its domestic operations.
Progress in stc group sustainability Initiatives
In addition to emission reductions, the company expanded its circular economy initiatives to minimize waste. Specifically, the trade-in program recovered 19,611 devices, achieving a 100% reuse rate for these collected units. Meanwhile, the end-of-life asset recycling program collected 2,175 tons of waste, with 69% of that volume successfully reused.
Local Content and Talent Development
The Rawafed program achieved a local content score of 50.69%, which surpassed the information and communications technology sector benchmark of 40%. Consequently, the group directed 97% of its workforce-related spending toward local talent. In addition, the company invested SAR 41 million in specialized training and development programs to support national capabilities.
Digital Inclusion and Governance Standards
Regarding digital inclusion, the Smart Truck initiative reached 2,626 elderly beneficiaries across 26 governorates in 2025. This program has served more than 12,500 citizens since its inception. Meanwhile, the stc Academy delivered over 303,000 training hours to 15,803 unique participants to support education and digital literacy.
The company maintained high compliance standards, achieving a 99.8% completion rate for its anti-corruption training. Notably, the group recorded zero data security breaches or incidents involving customer personally identifiable information. Furthermore, women represented 17.3% of the workforce, 18% of Board seats, and 30.18% of new hires during the year.
These achievements demonstrate how stc group sustainability efforts align with international standards and national development goals. The group also won the King Khalid Sustainability Award Gold Trophy during this reporting period. Consequently, the integration of stc group sustainability practices remains a core focus for the company’s 13 subsidiaries.
