The YORK Cooling Pod has opened at Jeddah Corniche near the iconic Jeddah sign, offering residents and visitors a hands-on experience with cooling technology designed for Saudi Arabia’s climate. The activation, launched on Thursday, April 2, runs daily from 5 pm to midnight through June 1, 2026.
What the YORK Cooling Pod Offers
The pod functions as a mobile, interactive cooling environment. Visitors step into a controlled space where they can directly feel the performance of YORK’s cooling systems. The setup is designed to demonstrate how the technology handles the extreme heat conditions common across the Kingdom.
Local Manufacturing and the Saudi Made Vision
Johnson Controls Arabia uses its YORK Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) to produce many of the technologies on display. The facility supports the Kingdom’s “Saudi Made” vision while also serving international markets. This activation, the company said, is intended to bring that local production story closer to the public.

YORK has operated in Saudi Arabia for over 75 years and globally for 150 years. The brand has supplied cooling solutions to major landmarks across the Kingdom and beyond. The YORK Cooling Pod is open daily from 5 pm to midnight at Jeddah Corniche. The event runs until June 1, 2026. Johnson Controls Arabia said the activation is free and open to the general public. No registration is required to visit.
