iPhone 17e, Apple’s most affordable member of the iPhone 17 family, launched on March 2, 2026, featuring the A19 chip, a 48MP Fusion camera, and MagSafe wireless charging starting at SAR 2,799 for 256GB of storage.
Pre-orders open Wednesday, March 4, with general availability beginning Wednesday, March 11. The device ships in three colors — black, white, and soft pink — and is available in 256GB and 512GB storage configurations.
iPhone 17e Pricing and Availability in Saudi Arabia
iPhone 17e starts at SAR 2,799 for the 256GB model, which represents double the entry-level storage of the previous generation at the same starting price. Customers in more than 70 countries and regions can place pre-orders beginning at 6:15 a.m. PST on March 4.
The iPhone 17e Silicone Case with MagSafe is priced at SAR 229 and comes in six colors: black, anchor blue, light moss, vanilla, bright guava, and soft pink. The Clear Case with MagSafe is also available for SAR 229.

Performance: A19 Chip and C1X Modem
iPhone 17e is powered by the A19 chip, built on 3-nanometer technology with a 6-core CPU that Apple states is up to 2x faster than the CPU in iPhone 11. The 4-core GPU supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing and AAA gaming titles.
The device also features the C1X cellular modem, Apple’s latest modem design, which is up to 2x faster than the C1 modem in iPhone 16e and uses 30 percent less energy than the modem in iPhone 16 Pro. C1X matches the modem speed of iPhone Air. Moreover, the 16-core Neural Engine supports artificial intelligence workloads and Apple Intelligence features.
With fast wired charging via USB-C, iPhone 17e reaches 50 percent charge in approximately 30 minutes using a 20W or higher adapter. MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging support up to 15W, compared to 7.5W Qi on iPhone 16e.
Camera System: 48MP Fusion with 2x Telephoto
The 48MP Fusion camera delivers an optical-quality 2x Telephoto capability, effectively functioning as two cameras in one. Users can shoot at up to 48MP resolution or use the 24MP default setting for a balance of quality and file size.
Portrait mode uses an advanced image pipeline that recognizes people, dogs, and cats, automatically saving depth information so users can apply background blur after capture. The camera records 4K Dolby Vision video at up to 60 fps and supports Spatial Audio recording for playback with AirPods or Apple Vision Pro.
Furthermore, the mobile device includes Night mode for low-light photography, Audio Mix for video sound editing, and wind noise reduction powered by machine learning algorithms.
Display, Durability, and Design
iPhone 17e features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with up to 1,200 nits peak HDR brightness. The Ceramic Shield 2 front cover provides 3x better scratch resistance than the previous generation and includes an anti-reflection coating to reduce glare.
The device carries an IP68 rating, tested to a maximum depth of 6 meters for up to 30 minutes under IEC standard 60529. The aerospace-grade aluminum enclosure is lightweight, and Face ID handles biometric authentication. An Action button provides quick access to user-selected functions.
iOS 26, Apple Intelligence, and Satellite Safety Features
iPhone 17e ships with iOS 26, which introduces a Liquid Glass design language and updated artificial intelligence capabilities through Apple Intelligence. Live Translation works across Messages, FaceTime, Phone, and AirPods in supported languages. Visual intelligence extends to on-screen content, and Call Screening filters calls from unknown numbers.
When outside cellular and Wi-Fi coverage, the device supports Emergency SOS via satellite, Messages via satellite, Roadside Assistance via satellite, and Find My location sharing via satellite. Crash Detection can automatically contact emergency services following a severe vehicle accident. Satellite features are included free for two years from activation.
In addition, iCloud+ plans start at SAR 3.99 per month. Customers purchasing iPhone 17e may receive three free months of Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, Apple Music, Apple News+, and Apple TV with a new subscription, subject to regional availability.
Environmental Specifications
iPhone 17e contains 30 percent recycled content by mass, including 85 percent recycled aluminum in the enclosure and 100 percent recycled cobalt in the battery. Apple states the device is manufactured using 55 percent renewable electricity across the supply chain. The paper packaging is 100 percent fiber-based.
