Agentic AI security solutions are experiencing high demand as Cequence Security reported record financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026.

The company secured the largest contract in its history during this period, driven by expansion in the Middle East, Japan, and the Americas.

The growth reflects increased adoption of the company’s protection platform by enterprises deploying autonomous artificial intelligence agents. Specifically, organizations in the telecommunications, financial services, and utilities sectors are deploying these systems to protect applications and data.

Middle East Market Expansion

The Middle East represented a key growth region for the company during the fourth quarter. New customer acquisitions spanned digital banking, fintech, and government sectors across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

In two separate competitive evaluations in the region, the company was selected over existing vendors. This selection highlights the demand for secure application programming interfaces (APIs) in rapidly developing technology markets.

Addressing the Agentic AI Security Gap

Ameya Talwalkar, chief executive officer of Cequence, stated that enterprises are rapidly deploying autonomous agents without sufficient protection systems.

“Our customers, whether they are defending against sophisticated fraud, securing critical APIs, or safely connecting AI agents to their most sensitive applications, are all solving versions of the same problem.”

To address these vulnerabilities, the company announced the general availability of Agent Personas within its Cequence AI Gateway to enhance agentic AI security. This feature provides infrastructure-level control over autonomous agent permissions down to individual tool-call levels.

Global Sales and Partner Network Growth

The company expanded its global partner network by adding GuidePoint, Aplidigital, and IT-Harmony to its channel program. Furthermore, Cequence secured its first customer transaction entirely sourced through its channel partner program in Southeast Asia.

Notably, the largest transaction in the company’s history was signed with a telecommunications provider in Japan. To support this global expansion, Chandra Rentachintala joined the company as Vice President of Engineering. He previously held engineering roles at Microsoft and Palo Alto Networks.

Industry Recognition and Future Outlook

The company achieved several industry milestones, including ranking number 128 on the 2025 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 after recording 652 percent revenue growth from 2021 to 2024. Additionally, the TM Forum appointed the company as Co-Chair of the AI-Native Blueprint Initiative on Agentic Interaction Security.

As organizations continue to adopt autonomous systems, implementing agentic AI security remains a priority. The company currently protects more than 10 billion daily API interactions and 4 billion user accounts globally, positioning it to influence future security standards.
