Saudi Arabia Railways awarded a contract to the OHLA-HACS Joint Venture to construct the new Dammam railway connection in the Eastern Province. The joint venture, consisting of OHL Arabia and Hassan Allam Construction Saudi Limited Co, will build a 22.7-kilometer single-track railway to link the Dammam 2nd Industrial City to the national rail network, supporting the regional economy.
The project scope includes extensive civil foundations, earthworks, and track infrastructure. Notably, the joint venture will construct a 265-meter bridge over Highway HW615 and a 118-meter bridge across the ARAMCO Pipeline Corridor.
In addition, the contract covers the installation of signaling and telecom systems. The joint venture will also execute necessary integration works for the Saudi Electricity Company to connect the line to the wider power grid, ensuring operational readiness.
