The Huawei ICT Academy expanded its presence across Saudi Arabia after signing cooperation agreements with five universities during LEAP 2026 in Riyadh.
The signing took place at the Riyadh Exhibition and Conference Centre in Malham. The partnership includes the University of Bisha, Qassim University, King Khalid University, University of Jeddah, and Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University.
Expansion of the Huawei ICT Academy
Under the new agreements, the institutions gain access to structured technology curricula, practical training resources, and professional certification pathways. Consequently, students can work toward international accreditations such as the Huawei Certified ICT Associate credential in modern digital fields.
The academic programs focus on subjects such as cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and data communications. By extending into Bisha, Al Qassim, Abha, Jeddah, and Al Kharj, the initiative supports students situated outside major urban areas.
Specialized Training and Professional Certifications
In addition to student resources, university faculty will take part in a train-the-trainer structure. This framework gives educators technical tools, curriculum updates, and resources aligned with telecommunications industry requirements.
Furthermore, students from the five participating universities can enter the Huawei ICT Competition. The global talent event is recognized by UNESCO through its Global Skills Academy as a key program for digital skill development.
Faculty Enablement and Global Competitions
The program offers participants a direct path to regional and international tech competitions. As a result, students can present their technical skills to industry professionals and explore career options in the expanding tech sector.

The agreements took place during LEAP 2026, where Huawei presented under the theme of Advancing Industrial All Intelligence. The event itself operated under the vision of Into New Worlds, highlighting the role of modern education in workforce preparation.
Moreover, developing domestic technical talent supports national objectives under Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to strengthen the digital economy across all provinces. The new university partnerships ensure that training resources remain accessible to regional institutions across the country.
