The Jamarat Facility in Mina has reached full operational readiness for the Hajj season of 1447 AH. Kidana Development Company, the executive arm of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, completed the technical preparations. This initiative aims to improve crowd management and facilitate pilgrim movement during the stoning ritual.

Infrastructure and Crowd Management

The infrastructure includes 11 escalator buildings and 10 key tunnels. These installations ensure smoother movement between the floors of the facility. Field and technical teams from the company supervise the entire operational system.

Furthermore, the company prepared and maintained 340 escalators. They also activated 682 surveillance cameras linked directly to operations rooms. These cameras monitor field movement and manage crowd densities in real time.

Technology Integration at Jamarat Facility

Specifically, the Jamarat Facility uses technology to support logistical transport and emergency response. The company allocated 228 golf carts to assist movement inside the venue. Meanwhile, environmental comfort remains a priority for the organizers.

Consequently, technicians installed 456 high-capacity air-conditioning units. The venue also features more than 74,000 lighting units across all floors and routes. These systems maintain a stable environment for the pilgrims.

Safety and Fire Prevention Systems

Safety measures inside the Jamarat Facility have been upgraded. The safety system now includes 295 fire hose cabinets and 1,078 handheld fire extinguishers. Additionally, teams installed more than 3,350 automatic fire sprinklers to raise preventive readiness.

These efforts are part of the company’s strategy to develop holy sites. By improving operational efficiency, the company aims to enhance the overall pilgrim experience.

Infrastructure Development in Makkah

Looking ahead, the company plans to continue upgrading infrastructure across Makkah. These technical systems support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. As a result, the holy sites will accommodate larger numbers of pilgrims safely.

Ultimately, the integration of digital tools ensures a secure environment. The company will maintain field supervision throughout the Hajj season.

Crowd Management and Logistics

Managing large crowds requires precise coordination and advanced logistics. The integration of surveillance cameras and real-time monitoring helps operators detect bottlenecks quickly. Consequently, field teams can redirect pilgrim traffic to prevent overcrowding.

In addition, the use of golf carts ensures rapid response during medical emergencies. These vehicles can travel through the crowded pathways of the facility efficiently. This setup provides an extra layer of safety for all visitors.
