The King Salman Park Huawei partnership was established through a two-year memorandum of understanding signed on the sidelines of LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, according to SPA (Arabic). The agreement aims to advance technological innovation across the development and explore emerging systems for smart city operations.
Scope of the King Salman Park Huawei Collaboration
Under the signed framework, the King Salman Park Foundation and Huawei Tech Investment Saudi Arabia Limited will collaborate across several core areas. These domains include artificial intelligence, smart city platforms, digital infrastructure, smart operations, sustainability, and technical talent development.
The initiative supports King Salman Park in its goal to build an interactive urban destination in Riyadh. Furthermore, the collaboration aligns with the broader targets of Saudi Vision 2030 to advance digital transformation and urban living standards.
Testing Emerging Technologies and Digital Platforms
The agreement focuses specifically on exploring artificial intelligence use cases through proof-of-concept initiatives. Both organizations will work to formulate development roadmaps and test real-world scenarios within the park’s operational framework.
In addition, the two entities will evaluate emerging systems such as digital twins, robotics, augmented reality, virtual reality, and automated systems. Successful trials can be assessed for potential integration into the park’s unified information and communications technology architecture.
Data Governance and Platform Integration
The collaboration also covers the creation of structural frameworks for smart devices and platform integration. Key focus areas include system interoperability, data integration, data governance, and standardized interface protocols designed to maintain security and scalability.
