LEAP 2026 concluded in Riyadh following four days of commercial activity that yielded nearly $15 billion in investments and agreements. The global conference gathered technology firms, investors, and startups to discuss developments shaping the digital economy.
Major Investment Across Digital Infrastructure
Organized under the theme “Into New Worlds,” the event featured more than 20 tracks. Key announcements covered data centres, cloud computing, technology manufacturing, venture capital, and cybersecurity programs.
More than 1,000 speakers, 1,900 investors, 1,800 global technology brands, and 600 startups participated across 16 stages. Beyond core infrastructure, the discussions addressed practical uses of computing across vital commercial sectors.
Digital Healthcare Advances at LEAP 2026
In healthcare, organizations demonstrated how advanced data platforms support early medical diagnosis and operational efficiency across networks. These systems provide tools to upgrade clinical operations and care delivery.

Mutasim Alireza, Chief Executive Officer of Magrabi Health, stated that hosting international tech events in Riyadh reflects Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional hub for technology, supporting national digital transformation goals.
“We believe that technology is a fundamental enabler in developing a more efficient and sustainable healthcare ecosystem, enhancing the patient experience, and elevating the quality of care.”

Alireza added that the future of health tech depends on ongoing investment in digital platforms and cross-sector knowledge exchange.
Artificial Intelligence in Travel Platforms
The travel industry presented automated tools that assist travellers with planning, search, and booking through mobile devices. Consumer platforms now use predictive systems to organize trip itineraries and customer support.

Mamoun Hmidan, Chief Business Officer at Wego, noted that LEAP 2026 arrived as travel companies focus on practical ways to simplify user journeys. He noted that Saudi Arabia represents the company’s largest regional market.
Specifically, around 80 percent of global bookings for the company occur through mobile applications. The company applies artificial intelligence and predictive analytics to improve search options and personal recommendations, including services for Umrah through an integrated digital platform.
“The opportunity ahead is to use technology in ways that feel increasingly intuitive, relevant, and useful to travellers at every stage of their journey.”
