Legend Robot has announced details regarding its autonomous painting robot fleet ahead of the upcoming Big 5 Construct Saudi exhibition in Riyadh. The robotics manufacturer will present its automated construction machinery at booth 3B49 in Hall 3 throughout the industry trade show, which takes place from August 30 to September 2, 2026. The presentation highlights automated finishing solutions tailored for building environments across the Gulf region.

Operational Scope and Performance Specifications

The autonomous painting robot features an operational reaching height of up to 3.3 meters, designed for automated putty and latex coating applications. To handle harsh regional operating climates, the hardware integrates specialized thermal management systems alongside sealed mechanical components built to withstand severe summer temperatures across Middle Eastern work sites. During prototype site trials carried out at the Qiddiya development in Saudi Arabia, the equipment recorded spray productivity rates reaching up to 226 square meters per hour.

Regional Real Estate Deployments

Prior to its presentation at the Riyadh trade event, the company deployed its automated hardware on commercial real estate projects across the Gulf. In Dubai, contractors utilized autonomous painting robot units to execute full vertical interior wall finishing on a high-rise tower at DAMAC Hills as well as residential structures at DAMAC Lagoons. In Saudi Arabia, Legend Robot partnered directly with Furnishing House to complete interior finishing tasks for the Qiddiya project.

Coating Compatibility and Material Testing

To support seamless integration with regional building supply chains, the machinery underwent extensive verification with common paints and chemical compounds distributed across Gulf markets. Operational evaluations confirmed compatibility with standard paint products such as Jotun Durosan Interior, Jotun Fenomastic, and Jazeera Green latex formulations. In addition, technicians validated stable application performance with heavier preparation compounds, including Caparol MidCoat and ChemiPaint Acrylic Crack Filler.

AI Path Planning and Vision 2030 Alignment

The automated spraying platforms utilize specialized artificial intelligence algorithms to optimize coverage routes and operational path planning across active job sites. This precision control reduces coating material waste by up to 15 percent on commercial construction projects. By increasing efficiency and lowering material consumption, the equipment aligns with ongoing construction schedules for major regional initiatives such as NEOM and Qiddiya under the Saudi Vision 2030 development framework.
