LG Electronics unveiled an expanded range of SKS luxury appliances at the 2026 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), held in Orlando, Florida, from February 17 to 19. The showcase marked the first time the SKS brand extended beyond kitchen products into laundry, presenting new washing and drying solutions alongside updated kitchen offerings.

SKS Enters Laundry with WashCombo and High-Capacity Dryer

The SKS WashCombo delivers combined washing and drying in a single unit with a 5.8-cubic-foot capacity. It uses AI Wash and Dry with AI DD technology for fabric detection and gentle care. A Dual Inverter Heat Pump supports low-temperature drying to reduce energy consumption while protecting fabrics.

Displayed alongside the WashCombo, the new SKS dryer offers a 9.0-cubic-foot capacity. Its AI Sensor Dry technology detects fabric texture and moisture levels, then automatically adjusts drying time and temperature. Customers can configure the laundry setup as a 3-in-1 system, pairing the WashCombo with a 1.0-cubic-foot MiniWash unit, or as a standard two-appliance pair.

Both laundry units feature a Full-Flat design intended to blend with luxury interiors. Each includes a 6.8-inch LCD touch display with customizable widgets, and a Tilting Display Control that adjusts the screen angle automatically when activated.

New 36-Inch Column Refrigerator and Freezer Debut

SKS introduced its first 36-inch Integrated Column Freezer and Column Refrigerator at KBIS 2026. Both units use a panel-ready design, allowing customers to fit custom door panels or SKS stainless steel panels. The freezer includes a dual ice maker producing standard cubed ice and second-generation 60mm Craft Ice, while the refrigerator features a discreet internal water dispenser.

Interior storage uses metal and glass door bins, and a Wide-Top and Shelf-Emitting Lighting System adds visibility. Customers choose between Professional and Transitional handle styles. Smart features include AI Ice Pro in the freezer, which increases ice production ahead of anticipated high-demand periods, and AI Fresh in the refrigerator, which adjusts cooling before expected heavy usage. Both functions are managed through a 6.8-inch full-touch color LCD display, appearing in SKS products for the first time.

SKS luxury appliances Gain Full-Flex Induction Cooktop

The SKS 36-inch Full-Flex Induction Cooktop supports simultaneous use of two large cookware items up to 320 millimeters. An AI Water Boiling Alert sends real-time notifications through the cooktop display and the LG ThinQ app when water reaches boiling point, then automatically reduces heat to prevent over-boiling.

The Power Shift Plus feature learns individual cooking patterns over time. It increases heat output when a pan moves forward on the surface and reduces it to a simmer when the pan moves to the back, enabling hands-free heat adjustment during cooking.

“By expanding the SKS lineup from kitchen appliances into laundry, LG Electronics is advancing its vision for a comprehensive luxury living solution. With our differentiated technologies and integrated space solutions, we will continue to strengthen our leadership in the global B2B and luxury appliance markets.”

Context and Market Position

SKS, formerly known as Signature Kitchen Suite, operates as LG Electronics’ dedicated luxury appliance brand. The KBIS 2026 presentation focused on the North American builder and luxury home markets, where integrated residential solutions are a growing priority. The addition of laundry products to the SKS portfolio marks the brand’s first move into fabric care after years of focusing exclusively on kitchen appliances.

LG’s Home Appliance Solution Company recently integrated its Robot Business Division into its home solutions unit. The company said this move is intended to bring advanced robotics into future home appliance offerings, though no specific robot products were part of the KBIS 2026 smart devices showcase.
