The new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé has been officially revealed as an all-electric sports car featuring three axial flux motors. This vehicle represents a significant shift in the high-performance automotive sector. Specifically, the model delivers up to 860 kW of peak power, which translates to 1,169 horsepower.
Mercedes-AMG developed this vehicle on its new AMG.EA architecture. Consequently, the car utilizes electric motor technology designed for high continuous power output. Customers can choose between two distinct models, namely the GT 63 and the GT 55.
Technical Specifications of the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé
The GT 63 model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds. Meanwhile, the GT 55 model offers a peak output of 600 kW. Both versions of the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé utilize a fully variable all-wheel-drive system.

Battery Technology and Charging Capabilities
The vehicle features an 800-volt lithium-ion battery with directly cooled cylindrical cells. As a result, the battery can accept a peak charging capacity of 600 kW. Notably, this allows the car to regain 460 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes of charging under optimal conditions. Furthermore, the battery housing is integrated directly into the vehicle structure to improve crash safety.
Active Aerodynamics and Suspension Systems
Active aerodynamic elements automatically adjust to control airflow and increase downforce. For example, two underbody flow plates deploy at high speeds to create a low-pressure zone. In addition, the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé comes standard with an air suspension system. This system utilizes semi-active roll stabilization to balance sportiness and comfort.
Interior Design and Digital Features
The cockpit features a 10.2-inch instrument cluster and a 14.0-inch multimedia monitor. Moreover, the infotainment system integrates artificial intelligence capabilities to assist the driver. This technology helps manage vehicle settings and navigation.
Production of the vehicle will begin in summer 2026 at the Sindelfingen plant. This facility has been upgraded to support the new electric architecture. Meanwhile, the axial flux motors will be manufactured at the Berlin-Marienfelde facility. This project represents a major step in the brand’s transition to electric mobility, which impacts the global economy.
