Nissan intelligent mobility strategy is now taking shape in the UAE through its authorized distributor Al Masaood Automobiles. The vision, titled “Mobility Intelligence for Everyday Life,” outlines a significant shift in how Nissan approaches its global product portfolio and serves customers across the region.
Irfan Tansel, Chief Executive Officer of Al Masaood Automobiles, confirmed that Nissan intelligent mobility direction aligns closely with customer expectations in the UAE. The strategy involves streamlining the model lineup while expanding powertrain options, giving customers greater choice and concentrating investment in models and technologies with the most impact.
The vision prioritizes two core areas. First, AI-driven vehicle intelligence will enhance how vehicles function in daily life. Second, electrification sits at the heart of the strategy, with Nissan’s e-POWER series hybrid system delivering electric motor-driven performance without requiring external charging. This combination addresses both performance and sustainability concerns for UAE drivers.
Middle East as Priority Market
Nissan identified the Middle East as a priority growth and profit market, citing strong demand for large SUVs and premium vehicles. The company noted this demand aligns with its core strengths in vehicle engineering and design. Key models underpinning this strategy include the X-Trail Hybrid e-POWER and the all-new 2027 INFINITI QX65 SUV in the premium segment.
The INFINITI QX65 marks the first of several new INFINITI models planned under this vision. This expansion reflects Nissan’s confidence in regional market growth and commitment to delivering vehicles suited to Gulf customer preferences for larger, well-equipped vehicles.
Customer Expectations Driving Change
Al Masaood Automobiles views Nissan’s vision as reflecting a broader shift already shaping how UAE customers think about vehicles. Drivers today are more informed and deliberate about their purchases, expecting vehicles that perform well while fitting seamlessly into their daily routines.
“Customer expectations in this market have evolved considerably, and they will continue to do so. People want vehicles that are intelligent, capable, and genuinely relevant to how they live. That is precisely what Nissan’s vision is built around,”
Irfan Tansel, Chief Executive Officer, Al Masaood Automobiles
Tansel emphasized that Al Masaood’s commitment remains ensuring this progress reaches customers in accessible and well-supported ways. The distributor operates more than five decades of presence in Abu Dhabi and maintains alignment with broader UAE ambitions in intelligent mobility and sustainable transportation.
