Nokia agentic AI broadband solutions have been embedded across the company’s fixed product lines to enhance productivity and operational intelligence in home and broadband networks. The Finnish vendor is integrating AI agents into its Altiplano, Corteca, and Broadband Easy platforms, leveraging data from over 600 million broadband lines deployed worldwide.
The new agentic AI agents help telecom operators address fiber and Wi-Fi challenges across the network lifecycle. These Nokia agentic AI broadband systems support network design and planning, accelerate rollout timelines, and automate assurance and operations tasks to improve end-user experience and boost operational efficiency.
AI-Powered Field Operations and Support
Field technicians will have access to AI-powered voice, text, and image guidance during surveys and installations. Computer vision technology can build a live digital twin of fiber-to-the-home networks in real time. Helpdesk teams receive automated root cause analysis, which can identify network incidents within five minutes.
According to Nokia, these capabilities lift first-contact customer service resolution rates above 50 percent while reducing return visits to construction sites and homes by 50 percent. A troubleshooting agent strengthens root cause analysis and accelerates remediation across home and access networks by using advanced reasoning to locate faults faster and reduce ticket volume.
Operational and Performance Improvements
Automated diagnostics detect performance degradation early and help prevent outages, giving frontline support teams improved operational precision and deeper analytics. Frontline teams gain access to better data visualization and remediation tools, reducing overall operational strain and improving network uptime metrics.
Operators maintain full control over their deployment by selecting their own large language models, data sources, and user interfaces. This flexibility allows telecom providers to tailor the AI agents to their specific operational needs and existing infrastructure.
Availability and Current Trials
Sandy Motley, president of Nokia’s fixed networks, stated that the AI agents make end-users less likely to churn, engineers more productive, and field teams faster. “We’re fundamentally changing how home and broadband networks are deployed and run,” Motley said.
General availability is expected in the second half of 2026. Currently, a Tier 1 operator in the Asia-Pacific region is conducting trials with Nokia’s Corteca and Altiplano agents, focusing on troubleshooting, reducing time-to-resolution, and lowering ticket volume metrics.
