The OMODA 5 SHS is scheduled to launch in the United Arab Emirates in September 2026 as OMODA & JAECOO expands its regional vehicle lineup. The announcement follows the European debut of the OMODA 4 at the 2026 VALORANT Champions Tour EMEA Finals in Barcelona, Spain.
OMODA 4 European Debut at Esports Finals
The OMODA 4 made its first public appearance in Europe during the Barcelona esports event. As the official automotive partner of VALORANT Esports EMEA, the brand showcased a co-branded show car built on its CYBER MECHA design language. In addition, the vehicle features an artificial intelligence cockpit system engineered to track user habits and driving preferences.
The automotive group also reported reaching 440,000 cumulative sales across 22 European markets through July 2026. Within that region, the company operates more than 500 sales outlets, with hybrid models contributing to overall delivery numbers.
Specifications and Features of the OMODA 5 SHS
Scheduled for its UAE rollout in September, the OMODA 5 SHS runs on Chery’s Super Hybrid System. The powertrain combines a 1.5T TGDI hybrid engine, a 1.8 kWh battery, and a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) to generate 224 horsepower and 295 Nm of torque. Consequently, the hybrid SUV delivers an operating driving range exceeding 1,000 kilometres.
Exterior styling includes a diamond-pattern front grille, split headlights, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the model provides dual 12.3-inch screens powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, alongside an eight-speaker Sony sound setup and 64-colour interior ambient lighting.
Advanced Safety and Parking Technology
The vehicle incorporates six airbags alongside 19 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for road safety. In addition, OMODA & JAECOO plans to introduce Smart Intelligent Vehicle Parking (SIVP) technology in the UAE automotive market to identify open parking spaces and detect surrounding obstacles during low-speed manoeuvres.
The company is also integrating intelligent robotics into its broader portfolio through the AiMOGA development initiative. Meanwhile, customer deliveries in the UAE have surpassed 5,000 units across all seven emirates through regional dealership networks.
Dealer Network and Upcoming User Summit
Local distribution in the UAE continues through Mahy Khoory Automotive in Abu Dhabi, AUTORUN in Dubai, and Galadari Motors across Sharjah and the Northern Emirates. Furthermore, the company recently hosted its Dealer Excellence Awards to recognise regional retail and operational milestones.
Looking ahead, the OMODA & JAECOO International User Summit will convene in Wuhu, China, in October 2026. The gathering will host around 1,800 international attendees for technical drive demonstrations and the global unveiling of upcoming models, including the OMODA X.
