The OMODA O5 HEV has officially entered the United Arab Emirates market, introducing a new hybrid vehicle designed for long-range efficiency and daily urban transport. The vehicle was unveiled at the Galadari Motors showroom in Sharjah as part of the brand’s Middle Eastern expansion in the automotive sector.

Hybrid Specifications and Range of the OMODA O5 HEV

At the center of the vehicle is Super Hybrid Technology (SHS), which pairs a 1.5T TGDI hybrid engine with a 1.8kWh battery and a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT). The engine achieves a 44.5% thermal efficiency rating, delivering a combined output of 165kW and acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.

Operating without requiring external charging infrastructure, the model delivers a total driving range of up to 1,000 kilometers under the WLTC standard. Drivers can also switch between Eco and Sport modes depending on road conditions and driving preferences.

Safety Systems and Connected Features

The car includes six airbags and 19 advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) functions to support active safety on highways and urban roads. Furthermore, an integrated TBOX module connects the car to apps on mobile devices, allowing drivers to access and monitor specific vehicle features remotely.

Global Sales and European Performance

The launch in the UAE reflects broader international growth for the joint brand network. By July 2026, the company expanded into 77 countries, establishing 1,596 dealerships and recording cumulative sales of more than one million vehicles worldwide.

European markets represent over 440,000 units of those global sales. Notably, the O5 SHS model recorded 55,290 sales across the United Kingdom and European Union markets, while the Italian market registered more than 5,600 units within five months of its debut.

Local Market Expansion and Brand Activities

More than 5,000 customers currently drive the company’s vehicles across the seven emirates. In addition, the brand is broadening its technological ecosystem through SIVP assisted-driving systems, the upcoming OMODA 4 model, and the AiMOGA robotics division.

To reach younger consumers interested in digital entertainment and gaming, the automaker partnered with the VALORANT Champions Tour EMEA 2026 finals in Barcelona as the official automotive partner. Customers in the UAE can now purchase the OMODA O5 HEV through official dealership channels across the country.
