Acer announced the Predator Atlas 8 gaming handheld to expand its mobile gaming portfolio.
The new device integrates Intel Arc G-Series processors with up to Intel Arc B390 graphics. Consequently, this hardware configuration aims to deliver high-fidelity visuals within handheld power ranges.
The handheld features an 80 Wh battery paired with Intel Endurance Gaming technology. This system balances frame rates and power draw to extend gameplay sessions. Furthermore, the device runs on Windows 11 Home and includes a subscription to XBOX Game Pass.
Introducing the Predator Atlas 8
The Predator Atlas 8 utilizes the Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor to run demanding PC games.
Specifically, the graphics system supports ray tracing and Intel XeSS 3 AI-powered upscaling. As a result, players experience reduced stutter and lower input lag during heavy GPU workloads.

Advanced Cooling and Thermal Management
To maintain performance, the device uses a dual-fan cooling system. Notably, this setup includes the first metal fan used in a handheld device.
The metal fan features 89 blades that are 0.1 mm thick, which increases airflow by up to 10 percent. Meanwhile, Vortex Flow tuning guides air through internal channels to control heat.
Display and Audio Specifications
The device features an 8-inch WUXGA touchscreen with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the screen offers 500 nits of peak brightness and supports Variable Refresh Rate.
The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with DXC to reduce glare. For audio, the handheld includes dual 2-Watt speakers with DTS:X Ultra technology.
Connectivity and Control Features
For connectivity, the system provides dual Thunderbolt 4 ports and a UHS-II microSD card reader. It also supports Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Moreover, the control layout includes full-size analog sticks and adjustable trigger switches. Users can access the PredatorSense application for system monitoring and RGB customization.
The new handheld will be available in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region starting October 2026. However, exact specifications and pricing will vary by local market.
