Riyadh Air has launched the Nawat Cabin Crew Program, a recruitment and training initiative designed to develop Saudi nationals for careers in aviation. The program represents a significant step in the airline’s strategy to connect Saudi Arabia to over 100 global destinations by 2030.
The Nawat Cabin Crew Program consolidates multiple pathways for Saudi talent to advance within the aviation sector. It complements existing programs including an Aircraft Engineering Program and Cadet Pilot Program, further localizing aviation roles across the airline’s operations.
Program Structure and Partnership
Developed in partnership with Bunyan for Training Company in Riyadh, the program offers an eight-month curriculum aligned with international aviation standards. Training covers technical expertise, safety procedures, language proficiency, and professional service delivery. The program begins in August 2026, with successful candidates joining Riyadh Air as cabin crew in 2027.
Applications are open online and through a national roadshow providing in-person support, beginning in Riyadh. The airline welcomes Saudi men and women aged 21 and older who are interested in hospitality and service careers.
Broader Talent Development Strategy
The Nawat Cabin Crew Program is part of Riyadh Air’s broader commitment to develop national capabilities under Saudi Vision 2030. The airline’s talent initiatives include the Kingdom’s first program to employ female Saudi engineers in aircraft maintenance, specialized bachelor’s scholarship programs for aircraft maintenance engineers in mechanical and avionics engineering, a Graduate Program for university graduates, and a Cadet Pilot Program for aspiring pilots.
Employment and Career Pathways
Cabin crew serve as critical brand ambassadors for Riyadh Air, performing essential safety and service roles on board. Riyadh Air said the program aims to recruit thousands of Saudi nationals over the coming years as the airline expands its operations.
“Riyadh Air is fully committed to building a national talent pipeline in the aviation sector across many different areas of the business and cabin crew are an essential part of our operations. Following our existing initiatives, the Nawat Cabin Crew Program will play a vital role in developing the Kingdom’s aviation sector, supporting our goal to create more than 200,000 direct and indirect job opportunities under Vision 2030.”
